I met Megan at the London Convention Centre Fall Bridal Show. I remember Megan because she was with her Mom and her soon to be mother-in-love and sister-in-law (whom I also did wedding invitations for). They were there towards the end of day when the show is starting to quiet down so I got a really good chance to talk with them all. As soon as they left my booth they went across the way to the tuxedo place who happened to be offering “free wedding invitations” when booking your wedding with them. I immediately thought uh-oh, especially as they were there for a long time and starting going through the many invitation books that they had at the show. My concerns were quickly settled as Megan came back to my booth to say she would email me this week, and although she did book her tuxedos with the tuxedo company she turned down the “free invitations” as they were not what she was looking for.

Later that week I did hear from Megan and she also sent me pictures of her bridesmaids dresses which were going to be black as well as the flowers that she really likes, which were beautiful bright pinks and oranges. She loved the colours of the flowers and was using them as her inspiration for other aspects of her wedding.

I met with Brian and Megan almost a whole year before their wedding which is early but they really wanted to get started and so did I. Together we were able to come up with the perfect invitations for them. We used a black pocket and integrated the orange and pink with accent papers and ribbons. Megan really wanted a rhinestone on her invites so we did just a single rhinestone in the middle of the ribbon, which looked so elegant. Megan and Brian also had beautiful engagement pictures done and really wanted to integrate them into their invitation so we did a small picture on the front.

We also did lots of matching stationary including table numbers, which also included a special thank-you to their guests, table numbers, programs, a money/card box and favour boxes. Although I have done tones of different wedding invitations and other stationary I had lots of firsts with Megan and Brian’s wedding. Theirs was the first money/card box I did and their programs were very unique in style which came from Brian. Theirs were the first large size favour boxes I did to hold the tulip bulbs that they were going to give their guests (in orange and pink of course!).

I absolutely have loved working with both Megan and Brian. They are an incredible couple and I must admit as much as I was excited that they had a beautiful wedding I was also a little sad as once the wedding is over I no longer get to talk to them as often. I wish you both all the best!
