I met Melissa at the Bridal Show at the Buffalo Convention centre. Right away after they show Melissa contacted me and it was a good thing because her wedding was less than 4 months away. When Melissa and Jeff came to meet with me they brought me an invitation that Melissa’s sister had gotten in the mail a couple of years ago. It was beautiful, and part of the reason that Melissa loved it so much was because of its large size. She said that when her sister got it in the mail she was so excited because of the large size of it she felt like she was getting a gift in the mail, and Melissa really wanted to have her guests have that same feeling. So we created a large scale 7 by 7 invitation similar to the sample she brought me but with a modern twist. Melissa was having a traditional wedding so we put her invitations in a double envelope with all the envelopes addressed in a proper calligraphy. We also used a gold liner in the inner envelope to match the gold accents of the invitation.

For all of Melissa’s accent pieces we matched the style of the invitation. For the table numbers we added in the same knot detail as the invite. Instead of doing the standard seating chart Melissa’s florist came up with the idea of integrating the escort cards into a large pot of the same flowers as the rest of Melissa’s wedding.

Melissa’s wedding turned out absolutely incredible. It was so much fun for me to do a very traditional wedding invite and stationary.
