Samantha and Chris are an absolutely wonderful couple and it was so much fun working with them. When they came to discuss their invitation design they knew they wanted a pocket style invitation but did not want it to be too fussy. Their beautiful colours of a chocolate brown, a light blue and cream all needed to be integrated into their invitations. We decided on a light blue 5 by 7 pocket and added in a knotted ribbon to the inside and a ribbon wrap on the outside to add in some of the beautiful chocolate brown. We decided to send the invitation in a chocolate brown envelope to finish the invitation. I love it when a client wants to add some colour to their envelopes as it completes the invitation and it also gives the guests some insight into what is inside the envelope. We did up 2 slightly different invitations as Samantha and Chris had a lot of guests that would be coming from Thunder Bay. Following the wedding Samantha and Chris were also going to have a reception in Thunder Bay so that the guests who were not able to come to the Niagara Wedding would still be able to help them celebrate their new marriage. For all the Thunder Bay guests we included a separate card with the information for the Thunder Bay Reception.

For their Niagara wedding we did up all their stationary to follow the same design as their invite. For their table numbers and menu cards we integrated the same knotted ribbon as in the invitation. Instead of doing the traditional seating chart or escort cards we did smaller versions of the table numbers to be placed in the entrance to the hall with long ribbon. In front of each of the smaller cards Samantha placed her favours with each guests name on them so they would know where to sit in the hall.

For her programs we decided to reverse the colours so that the outside of the program was the chocolate brown and the inside was the light blue. This allowed the writing on the inside of the program to be printed on the lighter blue so it was easier to read. We matched the thank-you cards to the colours and style of the program and added the same knotted ribbon detail to the outside. We then sent it in a light blue envelope to finish it off. A picture taken from the wedding was added to the inside so that it could be removed if the guests wanted to take it out as a keepsake.

I was so happy when Samantha called me after her wedding to say that everything turned out perfect and beautifully. I must admit that as happy as I was for them I was also a little sad that their wedding was over as I very much enjoyed working with them and listening to all their wedding plans! Congratulations Samantha and Chris. You are both wonderful and I wish you all the best.
